Later in the afternoon, we’ll embark on a captivating walking tour of Quito, followed by a delightful group dinner to kick off our epic adventure together! We’ll start our day with a visit to Mitad del Mundo, where you can straddle the equator and marvel at this unique geographical phenomenon. Next up, we’ll embark on a guided tour of Quito, immersing ourselves in the rich history and culture of this vibrant city. After bidding farewell to Quito, we’ll journey into the heart of the Amazon, making our way to Tena. Along the way, we’ll treat ourselves to a little highland hike, soaking in the breathtaking scenery of the Andean highlands.

On the way to the Tena we’ll explore the ancient jungle caves at El Churo.  As we arrive in Tena, get ready to experience a warm and heartfelt welcome ritual, immersing ourselves in the traditions of the Amazonian people.

Day 3 promises an adrenaline-fueled adventure as we tackle the mighty waters of the Amazon! Get ready for a full day of white water rafting, navigating through thrilling rapids and soaking in the breathtaking scenery of the rainforest. We’ll recharge with a delicious riverside lunch, savoring the flavors of the jungle as we fuel up for more excitement.

After an exhilarating day on the water, we’ll return to Tena to unwind and explore this charming town in the evening. Whether you’re strolling along the riverfront promenade, immersing yourself in the local culture, or simply relaxing and reflecting on the day’s adventures, Tena offers plenty of delights to discover. So grab your paddle and your sense of adventure – it’s going to be a day to remember!

Journey deep into the heart of the jungle as we venture to the renowned wildlife reserve, Amazoonica. Our expedition begins with an exciting motorboat ride through the winding rivers, offering opportunities to spot exotic wildlife along the way. Keep your cameras ready for potential sightings of playful monkeys, colorful birds, and other fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.

Upon reaching Amazoonica, we’ll embark on a small hike through the dense rainforest, immersing ourselves in its breathtaking biodiversity. As we explore, we’ll have the chance to learn about the conservation efforts and wildlife research conducted within the reserve. Additionally, we’ll have a rare opportunity to visit the Arajuno Reserve, which is not typically open to tourists, offering a unique insight into the local ecosystem and cultural heritage.

On the following day, get ready for a full day of kayaking adventure! We’ll start with comprehensive instruction to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident navigating the waters. Then, we’ll set off on an exhilarating kayaking journey, gliding through pristine rivers surrounded by lush jungle scenery.

After working up an appetite on the water, we’ll make our way to the community of Shiripuno in Misahualli. Here, we’ll dive into a range of activities, from learning about the traditional process of making chocolate to browsing handmade souvenirs and handicrafts crafted by local artisans. We’ll also explore a medicinal plantation, gaining insight into the natural remedies and traditional healing practices of the Amazonian people.

As the sun rises on another day of adventure, get ready to feel the adrenaline as we delve into the heart of the jungle for a full day of canyoning and rappelling down magnificent waterfalls! Following our thrilling escapades, we’ll return to Tena for a well-deserved rest at our comfortable hotel, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s exhilarating experiences.

But before we fully immerse ourselves in urban life once again, we have a delightful stop planned at the rejuvenating Papallacta Hot Springs. Here, nestled amidst the Andean mountains, we’ll take a well-deserved break to soothe our tired bodies in the therapeutic waters, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty.

After indulging in some much-needed relaxation, our journey continues to our cozy lodge on the outskirts of Quito. Perched atop a hill, overlooking the sprawling city below, our accommodations offer a tranquil retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. With private grounds and panoramic views, it’s the perfect place to unwind and reflect on the incredible adventures we’ve experienced.
